Very nice staff, good coffee, everything to go
Awesome hot chocolate! Very worth it to sit and have a cup. Their hot chocolate sticks also make great gifts!
Small shop with a large and tasty selection. Price logically higher, but there's also something good for that.
Super friendly advice of the wide range of hot chocolate
So in a good shop. I hardly eat sweet, but the chocolates here taste so good. On St. Nicholas Day we always buy here to give away really good things. Very nice staff too. To be recommended without reservation!
Delicious hot chocolate
Small desserts great, but hot chocolate way too sweet
A small oasis for chocolate lovers right across from the Viktualienmarkt! You can choose from a huge variety for your hot chocolate. There is also delicious coffee, cake, ice cream and other chocolates / pralines. The staff is always very friendly.
The hot chocolate with amaretto is particularly recommended - I think it's excellent. Overall, I really like this small but fine chocolaterie. It would be nice if there were more opportunities to sit down there, as it is usually very well attended.
Chocolate spoon drink was great and delicious. Brownie not so much. But great overall experience!
A small cafΓ© right on the Viktualienmarkt with lots of chocolate treats. The star deduction was made because the cream tasted watery and the ice chocolate is made with dark rice. But that's a matter of taste. Otherwise really adorable
Wonderful chocolaterie with incredibly delicious ice creams. Worth a visit
Awesome place wonderful coffee..don't miss hazelnut brownie
Sweet. For a quick cafΓ© gossip between Viktualienmarkt and Marienplatz. very tasty and high quality gifts with chocolate
Sweet little cafΓ© with an amazing selection of hot chocolates
We have enjoyed every stay at Chocolaterie Beluga. The cafΓ© is very good and the staff are always very friendly and courteous. For us it is part of the visit to Munich.
Very small cafe, there is no sitting area inside, just a few chair outside. The ice cream was OK.
Very nice products
Great ice cream and chocolate selection
Had a quick look inside the shop but they didn't have much interesting items for sale. It looked more like a cafe
Quite possibly the best hot chocolate Iβve ever had, and the staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. We came back three days in a row. Strongly recommended.
Best chocolates!!
Good coffe, nice place
Iβd seen this cafe quite a few times while visiting the Viktualienmarkt and put it on my list since it looks so inviting but unfortunately, i was terribly disappointed βΉοΈ I went in there hoping to have a cup of tea and a piece of cake after a very satisfying dinner near by. But they donβt really have loos (not a great thing if you are having a big mug of tea). So I bought a cake to-go. First of all the cake was teeny-tiny but I tried to look at it positively since Iβd been eating cake almost every day so thought this will help me cut back a little ;) :D But when the owner told me how much I owed for it, I actually almost gave it back. I mean 4,20β¬ for such a tiny piece of cake??!! ? But since the place is so well done up, I thought the cake might do it justice. But alas! I donβt remember many times Iβve been so disappointed with a dessert! It was really dry (so Iβm guessing stale) and way too sweet! I actually couldnβt finish it and thatβs saying something since I have a big sweet tooth and wouldnβt dream of not finishing something like cake ;( Donβt think Iβll go back :(
I am not sure Iβve ever experienced such an overrated place. They only have outdoor seating, so in the winter prepare to freeze. Also, if you want hot chocolate, you have to go inside to pick your variety. That would be fine, except that the small much of chocolate is β¬5.30! Also, you have to βmakeβ it yourself, because they just provide you with hot milk! By the time I was done stirring the milk with the block of chocolate stuck on the end, the milk was cold, and the βhot chocolateβ was just milk with small chunks of chocolate floating in it. A pretty terrible experience, for which I paid a premium price.
Awesome coffee, heavenly chocolate, nice and freindly staff. Highly recommended!!!
High-quality hand made chocolate shop at famous victualin market
It's really great to have a warm chocolate milk in autumn and winter. There are many different kinds of chocolate to choose from (* White chocolate is sweeter than milk chocolate)
Top 10 Chocolatier from Munich, great flavors, right in from of the famous market of Munich.
Never tasted such a hot chocolate! Choose a small square of chocolate that you can melt in the hot milk they bring you. Very good
This is awesome! Try it!
For hot chocolate lovers will be a perfect choice, as you can choose which kind of choco cube
I love a good cup of hot chocolate and I was disappointed...i sampled the white chocolate spread and that was nice
I honestly don't know what to say to those who gave Beluga an orphaned star. I feel sorry for you. You should go and test your taste buds! Seriously! It's one of my favorites in the whole world! I don't know how many times I went there. But for sure I went there A LOT. I am a hot chocolate addict. And when I go to the same place several times in a single week then they definitely have the best hot chocolate in town! Also I bought the chocolate sticks to make hot chocolate at home, 5000 km away.
Positive: Friendly staff , great location Negative : Hot chocolate is sticking a chocolate block in hot milk . Not recommended
This place is famous for hot chocolate specialties. You can select a chocolate from a variety of options and they serve it with hot milk so you can mix them. Regular hot chocolate costs 5.3β¬ while alcoholic selection 5.5β¬. A bit costly but recommended.
The best hot chocolate
You can choose your desired chocolate cube there and out inside warm milk and wait for a pleasant hot chocolate!
Best chocolaterie in town! You cannot misss it
Cozy Chocolaterie with superb quality. In my opinion, it's the place to go in the city's centre. It's a small shop with only a few tables but you should find a seat without waiting for too long. Staff is young, very friendly and are well informed about their products. Their coffee is alright but pricey (3,80β¬ for black coffee, though it's not like the competitors near them are any cheaper) and you get a small piece of their own chocolate (more on that later). While their black coffee is fairly hot, the cappuccino tends to disappoint on that regard. The reason why I choose to pay a high price for the coffee is to sit down and enjoy some chocolate. If you are a fan of that sweet temptation, you will not be disappointed. They have a large variety of any kind and all of them are nothing short of excellence. Unlike the coffee, the prices match the quality (~5β¬/100g for a box). If you take a break anywhere near Viktualienmarkt, consider going there to gain a pound or two ;)
Pricey. Just try to be hip. 5+ β¬ for a small warm chocolate that I have to stir myself. Shop personal can't seem to handle if there are more than 4 customers lining up. Was just trying to compliment her pretty necklace but told me to shut up because she needs to concentrate. How hard can it be to run a place where you mostly have to pour milk in a paper cup and give it to a customer to do the rest.
When you ask for a drink, you get one small chocolate. It was a bite, but it was so delicious that I had to buy chocolate and go home ...
Tried this chocolate store based on reviews. The clerk was nice and helpful. The champagne truffle was good not great. We had chocolate ice cream as well and it was okay. Overall the chocolate was okay. I would try another store in the future.
βBest brownie in townβ their menu claims. Maybe when itβs fresh? The one that I was served was dried out and crumbly, and didnβt have a whole lot of flavor. Maybe Munich just isnβt the place to get brownies. The cappuccino was passable, but nothing that I couldnβt have gotten at a hundred other places in walking distance.
This place was fun, we got to sample chocolates, so much so that when it came time to buy any, we werenβt sure we wanted to because weβd eaten so much. But the chocolate you find in the states is no comparison to the chocolate here in Germany!
I had great expectations, but unfortunately I got very disappointed. The place is overcrowded, not at all cozy, and the brownie and chocolate cake I tried were more like their supermarket equivalents. Even the coffee was tasteless. Hope the hot chocolates in winter are of better quality.
Good place to chill for hot chocolate and gelato
The staff was unhelpful we went there on Sunday at 4 pm they said the canβt serve us and no drinks or ice cream available just we can buy chocolate !!
A place to visit. A wide variety of chocolates, you can even taste them in the chocolate shop itself. Very curious its chocolate cubes ready to put in milk and turn it into a chocolate. Worth the visit
really nice place, they have qtly packed chocolate i could get as a present at first i didn't get how to order the hot milk but one worker has great English so β’ Π·β’
